Join the Volunteer team
The FTV A-Team will be working to Prepare for the Holiday Fair & Gala
Fair Trade Vancouver is putting together an A-Team (Action Team) for our upcoming 2nd Annual Fair Trade Vancouver - Holiday Fair and Gala! This team will be responsible for various tasks leading up to the event and will be part of a larger volunteer team that will help run the event on December 3rd, 2011.
The success of our events relies heavily on your participation. We are offering a chance to do more by applying to be on this exciting team.
The Team:
- Will Consist of 5 or 6 Fair Trade Vancouver volunteers that have shown a keen interest in volunteering with FTV.
Team Requirements:
(Not all below requirements are mandatory except for the weekly meetings, however,
please keep in mind that it is part of the commitment of being on the A-Team.)
- Available to meet every Wednesday at 6:30pm at the FTV office starting November 2nd until the event (total of 4 meetings)
- Available for the day-of-event Volunteer Orientation Session on November 30th at 6:30pm at the FTV office.
- Available to help with set-up on December 2nd from 11am to 5pm
- Available to help with take-down on December 4th from 1pm to 5pm
- Available to attend and help with event on December 3rd from 8am to 1am depending on assigned activities the day of.
- Committed to completing the weekly tasks and to making the event a success
Team Tasks Pre-Event:
- Ticket Sales
- Street Performances
- Decorating
- Street Postering
- Social Media call outs
- Event Set-Up
- Planning out Kids entertainment
- Visitor Engagement brainstorming
Team Tasks at Event:
(These will be assigned at our Volunteer Orientation Session on November 30th, 2011 @ 6:30pm.)
- Run FTV booth
- Coat Check
- Raffle
- Bar sales (waiters and waitresses)
- Membership sales
- Greeters
- Bartenders
- Set-Up
- Take-Down
